Paper star lantern - large 60cm

Handmade paper star lanterns designed in a Scandi, minimal style. Each spike of each star is painstakingly creased and glued together so that it can be folded flat for storage and then gently teased open each Christmas.

In Norway, Denmark and Sweden, Christmas would not be Christmas without the cheering sight of these lanterns hanging in the windows of every stylish home. In recent years there’s been a move towards seven pointed stars, rather than five pointed, but traditionally the stars are always white, cream or another pale colour.

Our stars are made in Nottingham from quality British paper, unlike the cheaper, mass-produced stars which are often coated in a shiny plastic sheen. We include a gold wire closing mechanism which we think is prettier than the more common string and plastic toggles on some stars.

For use with LED string lights or an LED bulb, or simply hang them as they are from your windows or display on a shelf.
