Aegir
In Norse mythology ‘Aegir’ is the god of the sea, so this is a fitting name for this chunky guy who is, 1) deep sea green-blue 2) the biggest of the Dala horses currently in our care.
Aegir still has his Nils Ohlsson sticker and is in reasonable condition apart from some paint bubbling on his saddle area (see image) and some paint fading on one side of his face.
He’s an unusual colour for a vintage Dala horse. It may be that he started life as a blue horse and has changed to a green after being left in the sun.
